About the role

We are looking for an Information Security Officer to join our dynamic team. As an Information Security Officer, you will play a vital role in safeguarding our platform, data, and systems against security threats and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. 

• Develop, implement, and maintain information security policies, procedures, and standards to protect OpenUp's digital assets.
• Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability testing to identify and address potential risks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security measures are integrated into the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with the sales team on client inquiries 
• Monitor and investigate security incidents, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging threats, and best practices to continuously improve OpenUp's security posture.
• Provide security awareness training to staff and promote a culture of security awareness throughout the organization.
• Work with external partners and auditors to achieve and maintain relevant certifications and compliance standards, including ISO 27001.

You will report to the CFO and also work closely with the CPTO, head of legal and the broader tech and sales team

About You

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Proven experience in information security roles (2-5 years), with a focus on security operations and compliance.
• In-depth knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and regulations (e.g. ISO 27001).
• Adequate knowledge of GDPR and demonstrated experience in Privacy related matters.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Nice to have: NEN7510 knowledge, technical cybersecurity knowledge (certifications are a plus)
