Position Title: Senior Security Infrastructure Administrator
Job Summary:
- Works under the supervision of the department head and is responsible for the support maintenance, delivery of enhancement requests to existing security infrastructure.
- Design, evaluate, install, establish, oversee and provide senior leadership in the maintenance and administration of major, complex and enterprise-level security infrastructure solutions in response to the customer requirements.
- Provides technical support and consultation services to personnel in data center operations, Enterprise Solution Architect, Service Management and Operations, Service Support units and subsidiaries. Plans, prepares, recommends and implements roadmaps for the enterprise-level security infrastructure of the bank.
- Act as the Lead Security Infrastructure Administrator (SIA) in scheduling, planning and supporting complex to very complex projects including the implementation of such.
- The Senior Security Infrastructure Administrator also peer-reviews the output of his fellow administrators.
Role Exposure:
- Installs and administers major, very-complex, enterprise-level security infrastructure components and facilities. Maintains infrastructure uptime, performance and security at agreed service levels.
- Researches industry developments regarding his assigned security infrastructure components, to learn and implement better infrastructure administration practices, understand cost-effective alternatives, and to guard against unplanned obsolescence. Where needed, recommends better and/or more cost-effective replacement infrastructure.
- Provides technical support and consultancy services to personnel in data center operations, Enterprise Solution Architect, Service Management and Operations, Service Support units, Information Security Officer and subsidiaries.
- Provide second-level support for assigned security infrastructure-related incidents within established service level requirements and/or coordinate support needed with vendor. Periodically reviews vendor performance vis-a-vis Service Level Agreements.
- Minimize the occurrence of security infrastructure-related incidents by investigating, analyzing, developing and implementing corrective measures as directed.
- Communicate and coordinate with solution providers/vendors regarding product updates, fixes, and support requirements
- Periodically review and monitors the “health” and performance of his assigned infrastructure components, and regularly reports the status of such to his seniors.
- Perform maintenance or tuning and regular housekeeping on his assigned security infrastructure components, e.g. cleanup of unnecessary components, system-level backup, vendor preventive maintenance, etc.
- Document the configuration of his assigned security infrastructure components, and keeps such documentation updated and secure.
- Trains, as necessary, to other security infrastructure administrators on solutions, functionality and features.
o Acts as mentor to other security infrastructure administrators.
o Acts as subject matter expert on the features and functions of security infrastructure assigned to him.
o Helps the Department Head in reviewing the required documentation of other security infrastructure administrators. - Provides leadership and technical guidance to other security infrastructure administrators.
- Performs root cause assessment and recommends permanent resolutions to issues and problems encountered.
- Recommends and implements the automation of recurring tasks.
- Identifies infrastructure monitoring gaps and recommends tools and actions to close the gaps.
- Performs capacity management by collecting historical statistics and forecasting future growth. Sets the necessary thresholds to alert if resources additions need to be made. Triggers the necessary implementation of resource allocations.
- Serves as the OIC of his department in the absence of the department head.
- Performs other related functions that may be assigned from time to time
