About the role

Our growing team is looking for Product Engineering Developer for Cybersecurity product engineering.

We are looking for entry-level software developer or University newly graduate who will be part of a team building IFC’s enterprise security technologies and integrating with enterprise applications and business solutions.

Our team is fast paced, innovative, and flexible; with a strong culture of automation and continues improvement.

What you will do here:

  • Work with Security Architecture and Engineering management to scope and plan engineering efforts.

  • Design, develop, implement, and customize technical solutions for new and existing security products or for enhancements to new/future releases.

  • Automated Test-driven development, design, and code reviews.

  • Provide proactive and reactive support for production systems to guarantee their functionality.

  • Resolve incidents, problem tickets and defects by finding creative solutions, solving complex problems, coding, testing, and debugging a wide variety of systems.

  • Be innovative and develop ideas to improve our services and user experiences.

  • Provide support for a variety of projects and enhancements.

  • Take responsibility for team tasks and deliverables on a rotation basis.

  • Ensure open incident records are updated on a regular basis and that information is correct and up to date.

  • Create and updates maintenance procedures and supporting documents (e.g., SOP, building guides, user guides, FAQs).

  • Make recommendations and takes part in improving development and system maintenance processes.

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science or other related disciplines.

  • Interest in software development and system automation, integration.

  • 0 to 3 years of experience in development, or internship experiences.

  • Ability to develop automation or applications using Programing or Scripting language (e.g. JavaScript, Python, etc.)

  • Knowledge of web application frameworks, RDBMS & Application Servers (experience in one or more preferred)

  • Hands-on experience in building solutions using AWS (or GCP, Azure equivalent) services such as AWS Lambda, Amazon EC2, AWS Fargate, Amazon CloudWatch, Amazon SQS, Amazon SNS, and Amazon SES a strong plus.

  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
