Position Summary:
We are seeking a driven and creative graduate-level intern to join our team. You will work on designing and implementing security solutions for Android mobile platforms, focusing on areas such as kernel modules, hardware abstraction layers (HAL), system calls, the Android framework, hypervisors, post-quantum cryptography, and embedding development. This is a unique opportunity to address complex challenges in mobile AI security and propose novel solutions to emerging threats.
Position Responsibilities:
- Research and evaluate the current landscape of mobile AI security, with a focus on Android systems.
- Design and implement prototype security features involving kernel modules, HAL, and system calls.
- Explore and develop AI-driven threat detection and mitigation strategies at the framework and hypervisor levels.
- Analyze vulnerabilities in the Android ecosystem, including deep dives into kernel and framework components.
- Develop and prototype solutions leveraging post-quantum cryptographic techniques.
- Investigate embedding development for secure integrations within Android systems.
- Collaborate with the team to develop innovative approaches to secure Android platforms against advanced threats.
- Document research findings, technical approaches, and prototype results for internal and external presentations or publications.
Required Skills:
- Currently pursuing a Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of Android internals, including kernel, HAL, and system calls.
- Proficiency in Android framework development or modifications.
- Familiarity with hypervisor technologies and virtualization concepts.
- Familiarity with AI and machine learning techniques applied to cybersecurity.
- Knowledge of post-quantum cryptography algorithms and their implementation.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to propose and implement innovative solutions.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting ideas and writing technical documentation.
