Freelance Penetration Tester - Part-Time Remote

We are seeking skilled and experienced penetration testers to join our team on a part-time, freelance basis. As a penetration tester, you will conduct comprehensive security assessments to identify vulnerabilities in our clients' systems, applications, and networks.

Location

This is a fully remote position. Candidates must reside in one of the following cities in Mexico:

- Mexico City

- Guadalajara

- Monterrey

- Querétaro

Key Responsibilities

- Perform penetration tests on web applications, mobile apps, APIs, and network infrastructure

- Identify security vulnerabilities and weaknesses in client systems

- Develop and execute test plans and methodologies

- Document findings and provide detailed reports with actionable recommendations

- Communicate results and mitigation strategies to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Requirements

- Proven experience in penetration testing and ethical hacking

- Strong knowledge of common vulnerabilities and attack vectors

- Proficiency with penetration testing tools such as Metasploit, Burp Suite, and Nmap

- Familiarity with programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash)

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish

- Relevant certifications (e.g., CREST, CEH, OSCP, GPEN) are a plus

Compensation

- Hourly rate: MXN 500 - MXN 1,500 per hour, depending on experience, expertise, English language ability, and location.

- This is a contract position with no additional benefits provided

- Work is project-based and may be irregular, depending on client needs

Additional Information

- Candidates must have their own equipment and a secure, reliable internet connection

- Flexibility to work on multiple projects simultaneously is preferred

- Must be able to adhere to strict confidentiality and security protocols
