Sr Network Security Research Scientist

We are seeking a talented Senior Network Security Research Scientist to join our high performing team. Must be able to work onsite five days a week. The Senior Network Security Research Scientist will develop innovative solutions to solve hard, real-world networking problems. You’ll take responsibility to accomplish deliverables within a small team setting of fellow engineers and conduct cutting edge network research.

Qualifications

Required:

• Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD. Significant relevant experience will be considered in lieu of formal education. 
• Python development
• Hands-on development experience in either cybersecurity, network protocols, and/or network engineering
• Must have knowledge and skills in the fundamentals of IP and routing technologies.
• Modern development practices and toolsets (Git, subversion, CI/CD toolchains)
• Experience running docker containers
• Experience with networking protocols (BGP, OSPF, etc.)
• Experience with Wireshark
• Experience with configuring L2/L3 network devices and their consoles (Cisco IOS, FRR etc.)
• A passion to learn something new every day and to stay up-to-date with developments in your field
• Adept at independent problem-solving and comfortable with a general approach of taking initiative to find and develop solutions
• U.S Citizenship
• Active Secret Clerance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI

 Desired:

• Expertise in one or more: C, C++, and/or Python
• Ability to grasp the “big picture” and see beyond specific problems
• Network emulation frameworks including CORE, EMANE, and/or MiniNet
• Experience with threat intelligence research
• Advanced network protocols understanding
• CCNA/CCNP
• Experience working with Ansible
• A current TS/SCI Clearance

Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
