SITEC - Cybersecurity Analyst - MacDill AFB

Responsibilities

Peraton requires a Cyber Security Analyst (SR) to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3. Positions are located at the SOCOM Headquarters at MacDill, AFB FL, and at the TSOC and Component locations in the United States and abroad. 

  

The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and  common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.

   

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

• Investigates alerts, anomalies, errors, intrusions, malware, etc. to identify the extent of a security incident and be able to help isolate the responsible agents.
• Detects network intrusions and cyber incidents through various in-line and agent-based endpoint security solutions.
• Detects, identifies, and alerts the Government of possible attacks/intrusions, anomalous activities, and misuse activities, distinguishing these incidents and events from benign activities.
• Assists in incident response through a ticket elevation process.
• Monitors systems security and responds to security incidents in a multi-SIEM, Hybrid Enterprise.
• Provides security related suggestions to tool admins to refine alerting criteria.
• Ensures integrity and confidentiality of sensitive data.
• Mentors Junior and Journeyman analysts in best security practices and investigation procedures.
• Implements logical and physical containment solutions and provides remediation recommendations to Government service owner.
• Conducts advanced network log file analysis in support of cyber threat hunt.
• Conducts and supports digital forensic investigations.
• Uses various tools such as Remedy, Splunk, and Office Automation to perform duties.

Some positions may require work outside a traditional work schedule to support the needs of the customer.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Min 12 years with HS degree, 10 years with AS/AA degree, 8 years with BS/BA, 6 years with MS/MA, or 3 years with PHD 
• Must have experience with SIEM, log analysis, vulnerability analysis, and some scripting experience.
• DoD 8570.01M IAT AND 
  • CSSP Analyst OR CSSP Incident Responder
• A DoD TS/SCI clearance is required

Target Salary Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
