Position Description:  
PingWind is seeking a dedicated and experienced Cyber Infrastructure tech to join our dynamic IT team in support of CENTCOM J6 at Mac Dill AFB FL. This role is critical to maintaining the integrity and security of our network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a profound understanding of firewall management, network visibility tools, taps, and proxies, coupled with a strong grasp of networking fundamentals and cybersecurity best practices.
Primary Responsibilities:
Typical Responsibilities/Tasks:• **Firewall Management:** Configure, manage, and troubleshoot firewalls to ensure robust security measures are in place. Regularly update firewall rules and policies to adapt to evolving threats and dynamic mission requirements. • **Network Visibility:** Deploy and maintain network visibility tools to monitor, detect, and respond to network anomalies. Ensure comprehensive network traffic analysis and reporting. • **Taps and Proxies:** Install, configure, and manage network taps and proxies to ensure secure and efficient data flow. Optimize performance and maintain high availability of these systems. • **Cybersecurity Practices:** Implement and enforce cybersecurity best practices across the network infrastructure. Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability testing. • **Compliance:** Ensure all network security practices comply with DoD mandates and other relevant regulatory requirements. Maintain thorough documentation and reporting to demonstrate compliance. • **Incident Response:** Act as a key player in the incident response team, quickly addressing and mitigating network security incidents. Conduct post-incident analysis to prevent future occurrences. • **Collaboration:** Work closely with other IT professionals, including network engineers, system administrators, and security analysts, to design and implement secure network solutions. • **Continuous Improvement:** Stay abreast of the latest developments in network security and cybersecurity. Participate in continuous learning and professional development to keep skills current and relevant.
Required Qualifications• TS-SCI • Eight+ (8+) years’ experience and a bachelor’s degree for Senior positions and five+ (5+) years’ experience plus bachelor’s degree for Journeyman positions.  All experience must be IT related but preferred in the field you are applying for.  Experience can be substituted for some/all of the education requirement• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or another related field.  Experience can be used in lieu of education requirement • In-depth knowledge of firewall technologies (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet). • Experience with network visibility tools (e.g. Gigamon, Wireshark, Security Onion) • Proficiency in configuring and managing network taps and proxies. • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.) • Familiarity with DoD mandates and compliance requirements. • CEH or GSEC or Security+ required- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Desired Qualifications
• Prior CENTCOM/SOCOM experience a plus
