Job Description:

 

As an expert office BTVK Advisory GmbH (Baker Tilly) in Frankfurt evaluates major national and international insurance claims in Central Europe for leading insurers and companies. The focus here is on business interruption losses caused by cyber attacks, fires, natural disasters and interruption in the supply chain, an environment that is dynamically developing around the world. 

 

We are part of Baker Tilly Advisory Group headquartered in Chicago and its affiliates in North America, South America, Europe, Asia and Australia. Baker Tilly US is an independent member of Baker Tilly International, a global network of independent accounting and management consultancies in 145 countries with 34,700 experts. 

 

Your tasks: 

  • Commercial assessment of claims on behalf of insurers, brokers, lawyers and others 

  • Analysis of business data, company environments and market data 

  • Preparation of reports / presentations in German and English 

  • Participating in and leading client meetings, with travel about 1 day per week after training 

  • Maintaining and expanding contacts with core customers

Our requirements:        

  • Strong analytical, communication and problem solving skills 

  • Responsible, dependable and trustworthy 

  • Able to work well in a small, professional office environment, handling multiple projects at the same time 

  • Detail oriented (self-review and verification a must) 

  • Strong computing and internet research skills 

  • Through knowledge of MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) 

  • Undergraduate (junior or senior) or masters level candidate in finance, business management, accounting or insurance, course work completed 

  • Basic knowledge/ understanding of financial statements and industrial value chains 

  • Relevant internship, work experience and/or involvement with a professional organization

Ihre Aufgaben: 

  • Kaufmännische Bewertung von Fällen für Versicherer, Makler, Rechtsanwälte und Andere 

  • Analyse von Geschäftsdaten, Firmenumfeldern und Marktdaten 

  • Erstellung von Berichten und Präsentationen in Deutsch und Englisch 

  • Teilnahme / Führung von Kundenmeetings, mit Reisetätigkeit von etwa einem Tag pro Woche nach Einarbeitung 

  • Erhlt und Ausweitung von Kontakten zu Kernkunden

  • Die Fähigkeit, ein einem überschaubaren, professionellen Umfeld an mehreren Projekten gleichzeitig zu arbeiten,  

  • Sorgfältige Arbeitsweise, mit Fokus auf Konsitenz und Verifikation 

  • Ausgeprägte Kenntnisse in Internet-Untersuchungen, Computerkenntnisse und MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) 

  • Bachelor oder Master in Finanz, Betriebswirtschaft, Accounting oder Versicherung, mit abgeschlossener Kursarbeit 

  • Grundkenntnisse in Firmenberichterstattung (GuV, Bilanz) und industriellen Wertschöpfungsketten 

  • Relevante Praktika mit Unternehmen oder Beratungsgesellschaften
