About the role
We are looking for a Cyber Underwriter talent to join our Nordic team and help us grow. We're thrilled to announce our further expansion in Continental Europe with Denmark as the next country. Underwriting at Coalition is about finding ways to help our clients solve cyber risk. We are looking for a cyber and technology E&O underwriter to work remotely in order to help us use Coalition's best ideas and unique capabilities to profitably grow our business.
Responsibilities
- Analytically research policyholders and risks as needed
- Manage relationships with insurance brokers to negotiate pricing, coverages and other terms to grow our book profitably (together with our Business development team)
- Attend in-person meetings with Business Development staff and brokers as needed
- Create new and maintain current processes for renewal business to meet our customer service standards
- Actively participate in determining our approach to emerging threats, loss trends, marketplace changes and other trends in cyber and technology risks
- Keep an avid pulse on cyber and technology marketplaces and trends in the industry
- Easily identify areas where our unique capabilities provide us with a competitive advantage and build out processes that support these
- Collaborate with Security Engineers to review cyber and tech E&O accounts for risk
- Grow into serving as a subject matter expert for the team on coverage matters and endorsement drafting
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of previous experience underwriting cyber and technology E&O
- Experience handling a high volume of business
- Self-motivated; entrepreneurial spirit
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong interpersonal communication skills (verbal & written)
- Aptitude to learn technical concepts/terms

- Financial Lines insurance product experience
