Northrop Grumman Defense Systems has an opening for an Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to help support security assessments, monitor, document, and report program security compliance for the 705 Combat Training Squadron (CTS) Infrastructure, Development and Engineering (IDE) and Distributed Mission Operations Center (DMOC). At the DMOC, Northrop Grumman develops and maintains simulation software (SW) and hardware (HW) solutions, builds, and maintains network infrastructure, designs, and develops simulation SW applications, and evolves and conducts Live-Virtual-Constructive (LVC) Distributed Mission Operations (DMO) activities.

Roles and Responsibilities

The Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) is the focal point for cybersecurity support for the DMOC. Perform assessments of systems and networks within the networking environment or enclave and identify where those systems and networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy.  This is achieved through passive evaluations such as compliance audits and active evaluations such as vulnerability assessments.

Establish strict program control processes to ensure mitigation of risks and supports obtaining certification and accreditation of systems.  Includes support of process, analysis, coordination, security certification test, security documentation, as well as investigations, software research, hardware introduction and release, emerging technology research inspections and periodic audits.

Assist in the implementation of the required government policy (i.e., NISPOM, DCID 6-3), make recommendations on process tailoring, participate in and document process activities.  Perform analyses to validate established security requirements and to recommend additional security requirements and safeguards.

Support the formal Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) required by each government accrediting authority through pre-test preparations, participation in the tests, analysis of the results and preparation of required reports.

Document the results of Certification and Accreditation activities and technical or coordination activity and prepare the system Security Plans and update the Plan of Actions and Milestones POA&M.  Periodically conduct a complete review of each system's audits and monitor corrective actions until all actions are closed.

Basic Qualifications for a Principal Cybersecurity Analyst/ISSO:

• 5 Years of relevant experience with a completed Bachelor's degree; 3 Years of relevant experience with a completed Masters's degree; An additional 4 years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree (High School diploma or equivalent is required with additional experience)

• Secret DoD security clearance
• Must have a current DoD 8570 IAM Level II (or higher) security certification

Preferred Qualifications for a Principal Cybersecurity Analyst/ISSO:

• Top Secret security clearance with SCI and SAP/SAR eligibility

Basic Qualifications for a Sr. Principal Cybersecurity Analyst/ISSO:

• 8 Years of relevant experience with a completed Bachelor's degree; 6 Years of relevant experience with a completed Masters's degree; 4 Years of relevant experience with a completed PhD; An additional 4 years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree (High School diploma or equivalent is required with additional experience)
• Secret DoD security clearance

• Must have a current DoD 8570 IAM Level II (or higher) security certification

Preferred Qualifications for a Sr. Principal Cybersecurity Analyst/ISSO:

• Top Secret security clearance with SCI and SAP/SAR eligibility

Salary Range: $95,300.00 - $142,900.00Salary Range 2: $118,600.00 - $178,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
