Position Overview:

Entrust Digital Security Solutions (DSS) Professional Services Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) maintains a technical services team that provide the full range of post sales field services supporting customers in deriving value from Entrust solutions across the region. Entrust worldwide has an excellent reputation for the quality of its technical expertise and Entrust EMEA is firmly committed to maintaining this reputation.  Entrust DSS provides solutions to customers across vertical markets based on PKI, Identity and Data Protection Solutions (DPS).  Entrust DSS solutions are available as onpremises products as well as cloud aaS offerings.

The Security Architect professional prides him/herself on being highly technical; keeps current on Entrust solutions; has a willingness to continually learn and train; is extremely flexible and adaptable; communicates effectively with colleagues, partners and customers; and enjoys traveling to various countries with unique cultural settings, sometimes on short notice. This role has significant direct interaction with our customers; thus, excellent customer-facing skills and an appreciation of the commercial sales environment are essential.

This specific role is focused on supporting customers of Entrust DSS products and solutions.  Responsible for translating the client’s business requirements into specific systems, applications or process designs for very large complex technology solutions and integrating architecture.  The Security Architect role produces strong documentation deliverables as customer deliverables for consulting engagements as well as deployment and upgrade projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide external client-facing consulting services, contribute to corporate strategic initiatives • Represent Entrust and build relationships with clients, certification bodies, accreditors etc.

  • Contribute to Entrust solutions portfolio, both regionally and globally by exercising independent judgement to accomplish business objectives.

  • Act as a subject matter expert providing direction and guidance to enable solution and process improvements.

  • Achieve both personal and team targets

  • Participates in business proposals and sales calls.

  • Report writing and presentation skills

  • Provide DSS architecture and design services for the client agencies, boards and businesses.

  • Perform PKI policy workshops and produce bespoke Certificate Policy and guidance on Certificate Practice Statements to clients.

  • Perform Entrust consultancy engagements including health checks and recommendations reports to deliver Entrust Cryptographic Center of Excellence services.

  • Assist in deployment and installation of Entrust DSS solutions.

  • Acts as an advocate for the client as the ultimate authority on the architecture designed to address client business problems.

  • Assist in requirements collection, detailed design development and implementation directions to the client staff and/or DSS Professional Services implementation teams.

  • Facilitate the successful resolution of client deployment issues through effective use of the Entrust Customer Support and/or DSS Professional Services organization.

  • Attend meetings to understand the client requirements and provide the client with development and deployment options. • Assist the Entrust and client Project Managers in putting together the project plan for individual projects, resources requirements and timelines.

  • Identify any software customization requirements for client projects.

  • Evaluate and provide feedback for project related third party hardware and software under consideration by the client for its DSS related projects.

  • Research existing infrastructure and functionality, hardware, software and third party products, and provide architectural guidance specific to future business and technical needs, product utilization and disaster recovery

  • Provide DSS solution hardware specification recommendations as required for customer projects.

  • May be involved in implementing solutions based on customer need/requirements.

  • Ensures that client’s needs have been met and that the product/solution is fully functioning according to specification.

  • May provide technical Proof of Concept (PoC) deployments defining scope, requirement & use cases.

Required Qualifications/Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of PKI concepts, including PKI technologies and PKI policies

  • Familiarity with a PKI product such as Microsoft Certificate Services or/and Entrust Certificate Authority

  • Experience with certificate-enabled applications and a general understanding of cryptographic concepts •                Strong technical writing skills in English

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Services (or similar) or equivalent work experience

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Familiarity with PKI and Security related standards e.g. ETSI, WebTrust, tScheme, ISO27001, eIDAS

  • Experience of Smartcard and token based solutions.

  • Web technology deployment.

  • Directories (X500, LDAP, DNS, AD/AD LDS)

  • Databases (Oracle, PostGres, MS SQL Server)

  • Identity and Access Management (IAM) experience, including federation standards (SAML, OIDC)

  • Experience with a security or enterprise software company is desirable

  • A strong technical background in Information Technology Security is desirable

  • Knowledge of Internet Security technology (e.g. PKI, Federation, SAML, SSO, Authentication and Access Management, 2nd Factor Auth, Fraud Detection, Smartcards / Tokens, Web Services).

  • Knowledge of Entrust products and awareness of competitor product offerings would be an advantage

  • Installation and configuration of some common business applications (e.g. Web and App servers, Commerce solutions, CRM, Database).

  • Exposure to cloud service providers such as Azure or AWS

Languages:

  • Fluent English required for spoken and written communications

  • Additional languages would be of benefit for this role (particularly French, Arabic and Spanish)
