Job Duties
This position will support VITA's mission to support the commonwealth by providing cybersecurity, IT infrastructure services and IT governance by working with the agencies to promote information security awareness and compliance with commonwealth laws, policies, and procedures.
This position will support the Commonwealth Security & Risk Management Directorate’s information security governance activities for designated COV agencies. This position will provide support to agencies in getting their agency's information Security Program into compliance with COV laws, policies and standards as needed. In addition, this position will provide information and guidance to the agency in getting the audit of their sensitive systems completed. Relationship building, management and support with designated COV agency Information Security Officers (ISO). Analysis of information submitted by agencies for SEC519 and SEC530 compliance in support of COV §2.2-2009.
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of information security controls and processes for conducting Business Impact Analyses, Risk Assessments and IT System audits. Understanding of corrective action and remediation processes. Must be able to work in fast-paced environment and acquire new skills/knowledge to meet agency needs. Demonstrated ability to work independently and to manage multiple priorities. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated high level of organizational skills. Advanced skill in use of personal computers and related software preferably Microsoft Office. Experience with RSA Archer helpful. Delivery of superior customer service to internal and external customers. Ability to interpret, explain and apply policies and procedures. Ability to conduct research and analysis. Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality.
Additional Considerations
Prefer post-secondary education in a related field or a combination of training and experience that demonstrates the possession of the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
