Role Description –

Palo-Alto firewall

• IPS Configuration:
• Configure and optimize Palo Alto Networks IPS devices to monitor network traffic for potential security threats.
• Develop and maintain custom IPS policies and rules tailored to the organization's security requirements.
• Network Security Design:
• Collaborate with the security team to design and implement network security solutions using Palo Alto Networks IPS.
• Evaluate the current network architecture and recommend enhancements to bolster security posture.
• Threat Detection and Prevention:
• Create and fine-tune IPS rules and signatures to detect and prevent network-based security threats, including malware, exploits, and intrusions.
• Collaborate with the incident response team to investigate and respond to security incidents involving IPS alerts.
• Integration:
• Integrate Palo Alto Networks IPS with other security tools and systems, such as SIEM, firewall, and endpoint security solutions, for comprehensive threat detection and response.
• Ensure seamless integration with the organization's network infrastructure.
• Policy Enforcement and Compliance:
• Develop and enforce network security policies related to IPS, including access controls and traffic filtering.
• Monitor and report on compliance with network security regulations and internal policies.
• Performance Optimization:
• Monitor the performance of IPS devices and make adjustments as needed to ensure minimal impact on network traffic and system resources.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance-related issues promptly.
• Documentation:
• Maintain detailed documentation of IPS configurations, design decisions, and incident response procedures.
• Keep documentation up to date with any changes.
• Training and Knowledge Sharing:
• Provide training to other team members and network administrators on IPS technologies and best practices.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Palo Alto Networks developments and share knowledge within the team.

Location and way of working

• Base location: Bengaluru 
• This profile involves frequent / occasional travelling to client locations OR this profile does not involve extensive travel for work.
• Hybrid is our default way of working. Each domain has customized the hybrid approach to their unique needs.
