Fullstack Developer – Backend Specialization

This individual will play a pivotal role in developing innovative and effective solutions for our DoD customers within the IC sector.

Role Overview

The Fullstack Web Developer – Backend Specialization will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying end-to-end solutions in a fast-paced, Agile environment. This role emphasizes collaboration, learning new technologies, and contributing to architectural improvements to deliver solutions that align with mission goals.

Primary Duties

• Develop backend software solutions using modern frameworks and technologies.

• Design and implement APIs, including REST architectures.

• Write efficient SQL queries and maintain databases.

• Work with TypeScript or JavaScript in a Node.js environment, leveraging frameworks such as Express.

• Analyze system needs and ensure solutions account for architectural and operational requirements.

• Contribute to Agile development practices, including sprint planning and code reviews.

• Mentor teammates and share knowledge of tools and techniques.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software development.

• Proven experience in back-end development.

• Proficiency with TypeScript or JavaScript.

• Hands-on experience with Node.js runtime environment and Express framework.

• Strong knowledge of SQL syntax and query writing.

• Expertise in API development, particularly with REST architectures.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.

• DoD 8570 Compliant Security+ or CISSP certification.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

• TS/SCI clearance is required.

Desired Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience developing backend software applications/services.

• 2+ years of experience working within a microservices architecture.

• Experience with front-end technologies such as React and Next.js.

• Proficiency with testing frameworks and code quality tools, including Jest and SonarQube.

• Experience implementing user authentication workflows, including OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect.

• Knowledge of Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) tools such as Sequelize.

• Familiarity with JIRA, Git, and GitLab.

• Strong problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis and corrective action planning.

• Ability to understand and translate user requirements into actionable solutions.

Certifications

• DoD 8570 Compliant Security+ or CISSP certification is mandatory.
