Job Description

NetImpact is actively seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Mid-Level QA Test Engineer to join our award-winning and innovative team. The ideal candidate will intrinsically understand the importance maintaining high-quality web and mobile applications that support real patients and clinical providers who are seeking to empower patients with pertinent educational content, so they are better equipped to take an active role in their treatment and health decisions. In this position you will work closely with our program, QA, and development team to identify issues, increase unit test code coverage and automate unit, functional, and regression test of applications. This role is vital in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop automation scripts and test to ensure they are functional.
  • Execute automation test scripts to ensure software is functional in accordance with acceptance criteria in an Agile scrum process.
  • Perform thorough manual testing to identify defects, bugs, and usability issues within software applications.
  • Participate in mobile app testing (iOS/Android) as well as websites and mobile website experiences
  • Assist in the creation and upkeep of test plans, test cases, and comprehensive testing documentation.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the product to effectively carry out exploratory and edge case testing.
  • Participate in daily stand-up meetings with the project team, providing detailed analysis and insights as needed.
  • Actively suggest enhancements to QA procedures and contribute to the optimization of current practices.
  • Record test results, track defects, and communicate findings to the development team clearly and concisely.
  • Work closely with developers and other stakeholders to reproduce, diagnose, prioritize, and resolve reported issues.
  • Offer continuous application support after roll-out to ensure optimal performance and user satisfaction.
  • Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of IT solutions that establish and enhance automation testing processes.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred
  • S. Citizen; eligible for U.S. Public Trust Security Clearance
  • Experience with Behavior Driven Development (BDD)
  • 3+ years demonstrated programming proficiency.
  • 4+ years of experience testing software within an Agile environment.
  • Familiarity with test management software such as JIRA and Zephyr.
  • Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and tools.
  • Ability to design and execute repeatable test plans, perform manual and automated testing, and identify and report defects effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail combined with analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with developers, automation engineers, end users, and management regarding software testing.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and associated testing methodologies.
  • Experience with automated testing tools or scripting languages (e.g., Gherkin, Selenium, Python, JMeter) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with multiple testing strategies (e.g., TDD, BDD, SIT) is advantageous.
  • Understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • A strong enthusiasm for learning and a proactive approach to professional development.
