Job Summary
The Solutions Architect - Network will work as a network expert supporting account teams, customers, and go-to-market initiatives. The Solutions Architect will take a consultative approach and lead discussions with clients regarding Network platforms, understand how technology enables business, and recognize opportunities for the company. This position is remote with a Home Office setup as determined by SHI management.

Responsibilities
Include, but not limited to:
- Collaborate with account teams in understanding the maturity levels of customer environments through review and evaluation of Network technologies, consumption, implementations, and processes
- Develop and maintain internal intellectual property: a combination of white papers and subject matter guides.
- Understand and assess customer requirements, objectives, and current environments to recommend improvements and develop relevant solutions.
- Collaborate with other solution architects and engineers in support of sales, customer, and go-to-market activities.
- Conduct self-study and independent work in lab facilities to increase hands-on job-related skills
- Recommend network solutions based on industry trends and knowledge of client environments
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 6 years experience working with design and delivery/implementation of network/access products or operational IT/network experience
- Minimum 3 years customer-facing presales experience
- Experience presenting to customers, internal teams, or local professional groups
- Must be able to pass client-required background checks as needed
Required Skills
- Ability to design network infrastructure including route/switch, LAN, WAN, SDWAN, branch office and software-defined networking
- Receptive listening skills, with the ability to present ideas in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences
- Excellent writing skills to produce written reports of recommendations, metrics, project management, process, and technical documentation
- High-level reading comprehension to examine manuals and technical reports to keep up with advances and implement new technology that meets employer’s or client’s needs
Preferred Skills
- Performance of one or more gap assessments for formalized industry frameworks and compliance requirements preferred but not required
- Possessing Cisco and/or other industry certifications (CCNP, CCDP, CCIE, CISSP, etc.)
- SOW creation and delivery
- RFP response experience
- Consulting project delivery
Unique Requirements
- Position may require up to 20% travel to client locations
- Extended hours are required to complete some special projects
Additional Information
- The estimated annual pay range for this position is $180,000 - $250,000 which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
