Security Engineer

The Triskele Labs Engineering team are seeking a talented Security Engineer to join our team.

The Security Engineer is responsible for technical implementations and assessments working primarily with the Security Operations and Service Delivery teams. This role will carry-out technical security tasks aligned with the Security Operations Centre and MSSP Strategy, while also assisting in maintaining internal Triskele Labs Systems including Microsoft365, Amazon Web Services and a diverse range of security tooling. This is an extremely varied role across a wide spectrum of security operations.

You will also be part of the team responsible for the maintenance and management of these tools on an ongoing basis. This role is open to a candidate with strong systems and network background who is looking to progress their Cybersecurity career, with exposure to Microsoft security tooling and/or elastic stack as a preferred pre-requisite.

Functions of the role include:

• Deploying tooling and systems on client sites both in person and remotely.
• Deploying and supporting internal systems.
• Maintaining Triskele Labs AWS environment.
• Conducting security architecture reviews.
• Cloud Security Reviews.
• Gap analysis, security control design and implementation to address risks.
• Experience in the use of network security devices, SIEM systems, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems in an operational environment
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues relating to information security controls.
• Assist in the development and implementation of security policies, procedures and controls.

You will receive ongoing support and training from some of the longest serving Triskele Labs team members to ensure you have a well versed and rounded knowledge of the business as a whole.

Requirements

It is imperative you live and breathe technology and stay on the cutting edge of what is happening. You will be the technical go to for a number of clients and required to provide knowledge and answers on the fly.

Qualities that will contribute towards your selection for and success in this role include:

• Knowledge of technical security operations.
• Demonstrated hands on Active Directory knowledge including Group policies.
• Knowledge of cyber security tools such as proxies, sandboxes, mail gateways, and end point security (Defender and CrowdStike).
• Comprehensive understanding of network architecture such as segmentation, firewalling and TCP/IP.
• Knowledge of cloud environments and architecture.
• Windows and Linux experience.
• Demonstrated experience with Open Source tools and Operating Systems.
• Troubleshooting ability, with capacity to laterally and creatively to problem solve.
• Demonstrated Network/Systems Engineer/Administration skills.
• Cloud architecture and security knowledge.
