What you'll be doing

As a member of CIBC’s team, the Senior Manager, DevSecOps is a professional responsible for develop and execute a strategic roadmap for DevSecOps that aligns with organizational goals and lead the DevSecOps team in implementing security practices throughout the software development lifecycle. The role applies professional knowledge to Identify and implement automation tools and processes to enhance security in CI/CD pipelines, sstablish metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of DevSecOps practices and report on progress. The role Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and security, to ensure seamless integration of security practices. Additionally, the role communicate effectively with stakeholders to promote DevSecOps initiatives and gather feedback for continuous enhancement

How you'll succeed

  • Indepth knowledge with Software Configuration Management fundamental concepts and best practices.

  • Hands on experience on DevSecOps design and implementation.

  • Extensive knowledge and experience with Cloud native Java application build and deployment automation in large organization.

  • Working experience with trending DevSecOps products and technologies, such as GitHub Actions, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, OpenShift/Kubernates, Azure DevOps.

  • Knowledge of approaches, tools and techniques for anticipating, recognizing, and resolving technical (software, application or operational) problems. 

  • Able to build and maintain relationships within and across different teams.

  • Client focus and attention to details.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Who you are

  • You can demonstrate experience with: 5-8 years’ leading a team of DevOps engineers and are a seasoned DevSecOps professional with the ability to coach and help develop other team members. You are a code quality champion with hands-on experience in DevSecOps Design principles.    

  • You have a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Business, and/or a related field.

  • You are a bold and authentic leader. You're passionate about developing and coaching to bring out the best in people. You have led diverse, high performing teams.

  • You embrace and champion change. You'll continuously evolve your thinking and the way you work in order to deliver your best.
