POSITION SUMMARY:
As the Site Security Manager, you will develop, implement, and maintain site physical security systems, controls, access and egress, and emergency response procedures to safeguard employees, contract staff, facilities, and assets. The primary job function will be to protect the site and maintain a secure and safe work environment. We seek a highly skilled individual with experience and understanding of security platforms, security controls, and security strategies and a proven track record in managing security for a site and/or facility operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Develop and implement robust physical security strategies and policies to protect the company’s assets, employees and facilities.
- Manage access control to the facility via established gate, lobby, perimeter, badge and camera controls and procedures.
- Manage visitor access and accountability while on-site.
- Assess potential site risks and vulnerabilities, investigate security breaches and reinforce appropriate measures to mitigate them.
- Lead and manage visitor lobby access and control to the facility during working hours.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration of security requirements into business processes and projects.
- Conduct daily and weekly rounds to check and test various security elements and security controls at the site.
- Complete annual audits and inspections for each Security System element to identify gaps and areas for improvement.
- Maintain and update security emergency response plans, ensuring all employees know roles and responsibilities.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as law enforcement agencies, regulatory agencies and security vendors to enhance security measures and respond to site security incidents and investigations.
- Foster a culture of security awareness and train employees on security protocols and procedures.
- Manage contract security personnel.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors or Associates degree in security management, criminal justice or a security related field.
- 3+ years of experience in site/facility security management, law enforcement or other facility/security role, with a strong understanding of security principles and practices.
- Strong knowledge of security technology, camera monitoring systems, badge access systems, incident management software and other security-related equipment.
- Familiarity with NC and US Federal laws, regulations and industry standards pertaining to security and safety.
- Proficiency in security assessments, audits and investigations.
- Reside within 20 miles of the facility in Raleigh, NC; and, have the ability and willingness to respond to the site for security incidents, alarms, and investigations during off-hours and weekends.
- Relevant professional certifications in security management or related areas, like Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and/or Certified Security Manager (CSM).

- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity.
- Ability to provide oversight to contract security personnel.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement security policies, procedures and programs.
- Knowledge of emergency response planning and incident management.
- Ability to adapt to changing security threats and technologies.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Training or experience in emergency response and crisis management.
