Role Overview

We are looking for a candidate to join the Endpoint Security team as a Senior Security Specialist.  The Endpoint Security team report to the Head of Security Operations, providing security services to the European group of companies. The Senior Security specialist will report to the Endpoint Security Manager within Central Security Services. 

What you will help us to achieve

This position is to Manage the optimisation, integration & customisation of security technologies within the Endpoint Security Team.  Focus on continuous improvement and to seek opportunities to exceed expectations. Specifically, you will have the following responsibilities:

•    Management and administration of security technologies and services that maintain the business applications and IT services. 
•    Carries out technology deployments, building and deploying new Security infrastructure.
•    Ensure familiarity with risk management programmes.
•    Responds to incident and problem management efficiently and effectively documenting lessons learned and future prevention. 
•    Security Infrastructure Capacity Planning & Management.
•    Act as a project resource and maintain strong relationships with the other technology teams and our Canadian peers.
•    Act as a champion for security technology process and or requirements. 
•    Ensure that adequate controls are in place, with appropriate dashboards and metrics for your service.
•    Seek opportunities to automate, improve service and productivity. 
•    Providing full lifecycle management of your assigned security technology and ensuring their continued operation in accordance with service levels and stated functionality.
•    Facilitate communication with DR and BCP for planning and execution.
•    Mentor junior members of the team.
•    Manage their service within current budget and maintain service delivery at all times.

What you will need to be successful in the role

•    Third level qualification in Information Security or IT, or equivalent work or education-related experience preferable.
•    At least 4-7 years’ experience in an IT Security industry role, with hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations and five plus years’ experience in the IT industry.
•    Strong experience in Network and Endpoint defence strategies.
•    Proven hands-on experience in managing EDR/AV solutions, including configuration, monitoring, and issue resolution. 
•    Familiarity with common platforms such as Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, CrowdStrike, Trellix, or similar tools.
•    Deals with technical issues - dealing with multiple systems and multiple features. 
•    Manage a technical infrastructure using an in-depth knowledge of the technology and be a resource for other technologists, Architects and CTS management.
•    Owns the resolution of incidents and problems. Give key inputs to meetings / workshops to drive out problems, etc. Ensures that solutions arrived at are comprehensive and of high quality. 
•    Have an ability to identify key influencers and build strong relationships with them. 
•    Explains and sells technical solutions and options to non-technical stakeholders, explains business requirements to technical staff. 
•    Provides technology leadership. Advises, coaches and mentors junior staff.
•    Proactive involvement in the development, improvement, implementation and adherence to our standards and policies.  
•    Have an ability to identify trends and to develop and implement improvements in business processes and systems.
