Job Description

Are you studying Computer Science or Software Engineering and ready to hit your professional career with Konecranes Summer Trainee team of 2025? Do you want to gain valuable experience from information security in an international work environment? We might have the perfect opportunity for you!

As Application Security Summer Trainee you will work as a member of Application Security team, primarily be responsible for supporting our development teams in secure SDL practice implementation, security assessments and creation of cybersecurity awareness and training material. You will collaborate with experienced professionals to ensure seamless implementation and adoption of security tools to establish efficient workflows.Additionally, you will be working with IT and application development teams globally. Through this role, you will not only receive guidance and mentorship but also actively contribute to enhancing our cybersecurity infrastructure, making a significant impact from the outset of your career journey. In this role you will report to Pekka Sääksjärvi, Application Security Expert. The position is located in Hyvinkää or Espoo, Finland.

Qualifications

What kind of talent are we looking for?

This role is ideal for a Computer Science or Software Engineering student who is eager to learn more about cybersecurity tasks. You are welcome to Konecranes as yourself, but we especially value your good teamwork skills, hard-working attitude, and enthusiasm for developing yourself. Our work environment is highly international, so proficiency in English and the courage to work in an international work environment are important.

What should you bring?

• Studies in Computer Science or Software Engineering, preferably 2nd – 4th year 
• Understanding basics of Information Security, Secure Software Development Lifecycle, Security Testing and Agile way of working from your studies or working life
• You know how to use traditional IT-programs e.g. Microsoft Office, Email, etc.
• Earlier work experience in similar tasks is seen as a beneficial
