State Street provides investment servicing, investment management, investment research and trading services to institutional investors worldwide.The Compliance and Controls Lead for IT Asset and Lifecycle Management is responsible for identifying, assessing and mitigating potential risks related to the IT Asset Management (ITAM) and IT Lifecycle Management (ITLM) program by developing, implementing and operationalizing appropriate controls, ensuring compliance with the associated policy and standard and monitoring the effectiveness of those controls. This role is responsible for monthly controls operationalization & management, controls reporting heat map generation, proactive program and systems level risk insights, creating sequential trend reporting and reporting to the senior management team. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams collecting and driving data-informed decision-making and continuous monitoring of enterprise IT Asset Management (ITAM) and IT Lifecycle Management (ITLM) programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Controls Implementation and Operationalization:
- Establish and institutionalize the IT Asset and Lifecycle management - enterprise controls operationalization framework managing end-2-end implementation and monitoring covering systems execution, triage, escalation and controls reporting and alignment with program management teams.
- Implement and operationalize the IT Asset and Lifecycle management controls on monthly basis to monitor the compliance with IT Asset Management and Lifecycle Management policy and standard.
- Generate and maintain the monthly controls execution heat map reporting, showcasing the controls execution status and publish the reports with senior management team.
- Ensure consistent reporting formats and standards for both IT Asset and Lifecycle management to align with organizational standards.
- Collaborate with IT Asset and Lifecycle management cross functional teams on controls compliance gaps and monitor monthly trend reports and escalation reporting.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Partner with ITAM and ITLM – IT teams, First Line Risk & Controls (FLRC), Enterprise Technology Risk Management (ETRM) and Corporate Audit and compliance teams to align control objectives with organizational goals.
- Act as the primary contact for controls-related inquiries from stakeholders, providing training and support as needed.
- Present control findings and recommendations to senior leadership, influencing strategic decision-making.
Compliance and Audit Support:
- Generate detailed reports for compliance and audit purposes, ensuring accurate documentation of IT assets and lifecycle controls processes.
- Manage risks and controls related to software licensing, regulatory requirements, and asset decommissioning by providing detailed compliance reporting.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify inefficiencies in ITAM and ITLM controls reporting and compliance processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in IT asset and lifecycle management controls and compliance reporting.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in ITIL / COBIT/ FFIEC and regulatory compliance management
- 5+ years of experience in IT Asset Management, IT Lifecycle Management, or reporting and analytics roles, with a focus on metrics and data visualization.
Certifications (Preferred):
- ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) Foundation Certification.
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) / Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
- Data analytics certifications (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SQL).
Technical Skills:
- Knowledge in ITAM / ITLM tools (e.g., ServiceNow ITAM, Flexera, Snow Software).
- Knowledge of reporting and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Excel).
- Skills in SQL and database management for querying and analysis.
- Knowledge in predictive analytics and lifecycle modelling is a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to explain technical insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Analytical and detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Success Metrics:
- Accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of ITAM and ITLM controls execution, controls and compliance reporting
- Improvements in Key Control Indicators and successful Risk and Audit assessment pass rates.
