Product Security Engineer

We are looking for a candidate to act as Product Security Engineer (PSE) at Hitachi Energy, Grid Automation Products unit in Kraków.
As PSE you will support local and global R&D teams with cyber security-related requirements definition, monitoring and execution in software development. You will serve as the key technical resource in the assigned area, contributing to the ongoing digital transformation of grid automation.

Your responsibilities

• Designing cybersecurity specific requirements for software development
• Ensuring our product and service deliveries meet agreed cybersecurity levels
• Introducing new cybersecurity-related policies, standards and practices
• Actively contributing to identifying, managing and reducing cybersecurity risks
• Anticipating and influencing current and future technologies and trends
• Representing as a cybersecurity expert in local and global R&D discussions
• Creating, maintaining and sharing a comprehensive understanding of global cybersecurity risks and market requirements, including regulations and standards


Your skills and experience

• At least B.Sc. in computer science or relevant
• Experience in information technology, information security and communication networks
• An in-depth understanding of cybersecurity technology, solutions, standards and processes
• A self-motivated, structured and results-oriented approach, with good time management skills and a drive to succeed
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and Polish
• Good documentation skills to ensure easy-to-adopt and consistent guidelines and customer documentation
• Proven ability to work independently and collaborate with a team


Ideally, you have
• Knowledge of industrial or power automation technology
• Strong information security knowledge for software development, and a good network within the security professional community
