What you'll be doing
Reporting to the Senior Director, Fusion Threat Intelligence (FTI), the Director Program Management & Development will be responsible for overseeing and managing program & process improvements in support of tactical, operational and strategic intelligence activities handled by the team. While the team’s work is geared towards assessing a multitude of active and potential threats against the backdrop of CIBC assets, this role will lead and manage initiatives focused on continuous improvement, technical advancement, improved third party management and use case development in order to keep pace with the changing threat landscape and enterprise requirements such as data, records and risk management activities. This role will primarily be responsible for leading training, reporting and process improvement initiatives including the build out of existing partner engagements, information sharing activities and management of various in-flight and upcoming projects. The Director will leverage broad knowledge and experience in the threat intelligence, and/or fraud/security management space with strong experience in program and process implementation. The Director will be responsible for managing the performance and development of both directs and in-directs in partnership with the Director of Threat Intelligence Services.

How you'll succeed
- Intelligence Program Management Knowledge – Provide specialized advice, consultation, and analysis on intelligence program improvement. Identify potential opportunities to improve how we operate, take action, and contribute to issue resolution for the team as quickly and efficiently as possible. Undertake special projects with internal and external stakeholders, as assigned / required.
- Support to Peers & Key Stakeholders – Support complex issues related to threat intelligence operations as an intel and/or fraud/security practitioner. This will also entail support to the FTI Director of Fusion Threat Intelligence Services in the production, oversight, and peer-review of proactive tactical briefs while supporting existing operational intelligence tasks when volumes/complexity of work increases from time to time.
- Relationship Building – Develop and manage relationships with management and business leaders, including guiding collaboration with security pillars, providing knowledge of intelligence best practices, and advanced source collection and analysis techniques with the aim of improving program operations and intelligence sharing practices both internally & externally.
- Leadership and Team Player – Contribute to the development of the operational threat intelligence capability within the Fusion Threat Intelligence team through training, orientation, long term development planning. Contribute to the growth and development of highly skilled intelligence analysts across the entire unit. Contribute to a healthy work environment.
- Strategic Thinking Approach – Provide support to the Senior Director of FTI, Fusion leaders, team members, and peers as required to support delivery of Fusion programs. Create, maintain, update, and share Fusion Intelligence dashboard and products, as required, lending to continuous program improvement and strong overall management of resources, finances, projects and initiatives.
Who you are
- You can demonstrate 10-12 years of experience in information security/cybersecurity, fraud or physical security and have attained a four year university degree or college diploma in a related field. Ability to anticipate, plan, monitor and adjust as needed while inspiring, motivating and managing employees through constructive and respectful feedback which encourages and enables performance excellence
