Cyber Security Consultant

Kinetic IT are seeking a skilled Security Consultant to join our Enterprise Security & Consulting team, driving the successful delivery of diverse cybersecurity projects. This role requires a strong balance of technical expertise and governance knowledge, enabling you to step into client environments, manage vulnerability programs, and seamlessly transition operations to teams like the SOC. You'll thrive in a collaborative team, require minimal oversight, and take pride in delivering high-quality security solutions with excellence.   In this role, you’ll help identify and mitigate cybersecurity risks, ensure compliance with industry standards, and support tailored security solutions. You’ll also assist clients in managing security programs like vulnerability management and conduct technical security reviews aligned with NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and the Australian Government’s ISM.   Keen to get involved? You'll just need some of the following:   • GRC expertise – Strong knowledge of governance, risk, and compliance, especially in implementing and assessing against frameworks including Essential 8, NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and ISM. • Cybersecurity project delivery – Experience executing end-to-end security projects, managing risks, and ensuring compliance. • Security assessments – Ability to evaluate security postures, provide recommendations, and enhance controls. • Project scoping – Skilled in defining objectives and deliverables with stakeholders. • Security programs – Experience with vulnerability management and security control reviews. • Stakeholder engagement – Confident in presenting security strategies to senior leaders. • Risk management – Strong understanding of security risks and business impact. • Collaboration & ownership – Team player who takes initiative and delivers quality outcomes. • Security clearance – Must hold or be eligible for AGSVA Security Clearance.   Don’t meet every requirement?
