Network and Email Security Administrator

Summary:

Under the supervision of the IT Manager, the Network and Email Security Administrator focuses on managing and securing our network infrastructure, with a particular emphasis on Fortinet Firewalls, network switches, and Office 365 email security. The successful candidate will ensure the integrity, availability, and security of our network and email systems.

Job Scope and Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure, including Fortinet Firewalls and network switches.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network issues to ensure minimal downtime.
• Configure and maintain network security protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and other network security measures.
• Manage and secure Office 365 email environments, including email filtering, encryption, and threat protection.
• Conduct regular network assessments and upgrades to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Collaborate with the IT team to develop and implement network policies and procedures.
• Provide technical support and training to staff on network-related issues.
• Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Stay updated with the latest network technologies and best practices, particularly those related to Fortinet Firewalls and network switches.
• Perform network performance tuning and capacity planning to support future growth.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related work experience.
• 3+ years of experience as a Network Administrator or in a similar role, with a focus on Fortinet Firewalls and network switches.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, and switching.
• Proficiency in configuring and managing Fortinet Firewalls, including FortiGate and FortiAnalyzer.
• Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Fortinet NSE, CCNA, CCNP) are a plus.
