This position supports the build out and operation of a secure virtual test environment that is scaling to provide DevSecOps and private cloud services to multiple projects at the classified level. Based out of Raleigh, NC, this position is part of a multi-disciplinary collaborative team of software, IT, and security engineers delivering the next generation of cloud and web enabled modeling and simulation software.

As a valued team contributor your tasks will include scaling an existing secure environment to support multiple projects (tenants) to perform secure development and test. This role includes tight integration with an existing secure IT team as well as project team software developers and DevSecOps engineers. This is a full-time on-site position in Raleigh, NC.

Due to the work you’ll perform and interactions with intelligence community and DoD programs you must be a US citizen and need an active US Security Clearance at the Secret level or higher.

DevSecOps Engineer Required Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science along with 8-10 years of related experience or 6-8 years of experience with a Master’s degree.

DevSecOps Engineer Required Technology & Skills:

  • 4+ years' experience with on-premises compute and networking (VMWare or similar).
  • 4+ years' experience with Kubernetes & containers.
  • 4+ years' experience with CI/CD systems (GitLab, GitHub, Atlassian, or similar).
  • 2+ years' experience with at least one object-oriented programming language (Python, Java, C++, JavaScript/TypeScript, Golang, or similar).
  • You will be working closely with a collaborative team so your team player personality and excellent written/oral communication skills will be essential.

Required Certifications:

  • CompTIA Security+ (or DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 equivalent).
  • Kubernetes Certifications (CKA, CKAD, CKS) not required but strongly preferred.
  • Linux OS Certification (Red Hat RHCSA/RHCE or similar).
