The Team – your impact

The chapter Technology & Engineering - Platform Engineering represents all experts who deliver DevOps capabilities to all our product teams. These experts are organized together to enhance those functional skillsets, improve E.ON’s DevOps tech stack and deliver a high level of cloud automation.
You are part of a product team that is building an automated software distribution solution to enable comprehensive security and compliance checks across all our cloud vendors. This will not only enhance our company's security posture but is also set to evolve into a more versatile, general-purpose security and compliance solution.

 

Your Role – meaningful & rewarding

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement solutions for new requirements, ensuring the use of modern, up-to-date technologies and best practices for performance, scalability, and security by leveraging AWS services.
  • Build and maintain our product having a high proficiency in AWS Systems Manager, EC2 and IAM. Experience using AWS Gateway, Amazon Simple Notification Service (SNS), EventBridge, Lambda and other AWS services is considered helpful.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab to automate deployments. Provide technical leadership, perform code reviews, and approve code releases. You will be involved in hands-on coding (Python and Shell/PowerShell) and provide guidance to junior engineers to ensure continuous delivery of high quality code.
  • Utilize CloudWatch and other AWS tools to troubleshoot issues and ensure high availability and reliability of applications.
  • Implement best practices for cloud security, data protection, and compliance, including IAM roles and policies, encryption, and auditing.

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience

  • In-depth knowledge of the AWS platform

  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail

  • Experience advocating for your solution in a wider engineering community
