Your Role
As an Information Security Specialist, you’ll play a pivotal role in safeguarding our organization’s information assets and ensuring compliance with security and privacy regulations. Operating within the IT department, you’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement and oversee security measures that protect both our infrastructure and customer data.
In this position, you’ll serve as a strategic advisor on information security matters, providing guidance to senior management and various departments. You’ll also coordinate activities across the organization, increasing awareness, resilience, and fostering a cohesive approach to security best practices. Your responsibilities will include contributing to security policy development, following up internal audit findings, supporting threat response and mitigation, and increasing resilience against cybersecurity threats.
Your responsibilities
Advise the executive, risk & audit team and Information Security Officer on organization-wide information security strategies and policies
Coordinate and support information security improvements across different departments to ensure consistent implementation of measures
Lead for training and awareness programs across all (international) offices to employees on information security and data privacy protection
Support regular IT risk assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions
Contribute to, implement, and maintain information security policies, procedures, and guidelines
Help our organization become NIS2 compliant and ISO27K certified
Help with incident response efforts, provide best practices for investigation and remediation of security breaches
Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to integrate security best practices into system designs and deployments
Stay up-to-date on the latest security threats, technologies, and regulations to ensure the organization is always one step ahead
Requirements
Who we are looking for
To excel in this role, you should possess a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, taking ownership of all aspects of information security. You should have a deep understanding of information security frameworks and the ability to translate complex security concepts into actionable strategies. Additionally, you should meet the following criteria:
A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in information security, with at least 2 years in a coordination or leadership role
Strong knowledge of information security standards and best practices, such as ISO 27001, NIS2, CobiT or similar frameworks
CISM certified or willing to become certified
Proficiency in interpreting and handling risk assessment and security auditing procedures and reports
Experience in incident response and management, including familiarity with common security threats and vulnerabilities
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
Strong communication skills, capable of articulating security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
A collaborative approach, with the ability to build relationships across various departments and levels of the organization
