Summary

The Architect, IT Enterprise Domain is a member of the Enterprise Architecture team, and is responsible for creating reference architectures and maintaining strategic roadmaps for one or more architectural domains that support business objectives and evolve with the company strategy.  The Architect, IT Enterprise is also responsible for the evangelization of best practices for the given domains and will work with the Solution Architects, IT Platform CoE subject matter experts and business stakeholders to facilitate their adoption.

Detailed Description

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

• Perform maintenance of Architecture Standards & Tools
• Launch and support all aspects of the introduction of New Technologies including evaluating, describing key functionalities of evaluated solutions and how they interrelate, selecting and purchasing
• Supports the Creation & Maintenance of Technology Roadmaps or Radars that embody the key principles, methods and models describing the organization's future state
• Collaborate with Domain CoEs to implement new standards and solutions, defining solutions to address specific needs of the functional area/process
• Provides technical expertise to peers on Solution Design & Sizing
• Participate in various projects and assist senior team members in establishing project guidelines

• Excellent project management skills to apply end-to-end processes, analyze and solve problems/issues, establish project guidelines and present key concepts
• Applies most aspects of user requirement system analysis and develops basic specifications
• Performs independent gathering of routine facts but receives direction on complex aspects
• Assists in the development of solutions of a more complex nature under supervision of more senior staff members
• Able to manage, prioritize multiple assignments, and provide initial work estimates for assignments
• Perform troubleshooting and modifications of new or existing systems of moderate complexity and scope under general supervision
• Ensures compliance with Project Documentation during the analysis, implementation, and testing phases of a project
• Responsible for developing detailed Blueprints
• Ability to recognize and communicate potential business strengths or weaknesses of evaluated product
• Analyze, troubleshoot and research problems and develop solutions/recommendations
• Application of knowledge of Domain core business processes and the markets & industry to help the organization achieve its goals and objectives.

• Breaks problems into distinct and manageable parts and examines data needed to define problems, identify solutions, and make decisions
• Ability to build a business case and present it in a highly persuasive way to clients, users and non-technical staff effectively

Physical Demands

• Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
• Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.

Typical Experience

• 9+ years of experience in Information Technology, preferably in a similar industry (Manufacturing, Supply Chain)
• 9+ years hands-on technical experience working with solutions related to the Domain ( use domain list on column G+)
• Experience having worked as an Architect and/or having lead a Technical team in delivering complex solutions spanning multiple tools/technologies in the domain
• Understanding of industry trends relevant to the domain area ( column G+ )
• Proven track record of supporting large-scale architectural or delivery projects across multiple business and functional domains (i.e. Manufacturing, Supply Chain, etc.)
• Exposure to various aspects of architecture best practices: frameworks, business, application, data, security, infrastructure and governance
• Working knowledge of project management, sizing and scheduling

Typical Education

• Bachelor's Degree or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.  Specialized Knowledge / Skills.  Security Certifications (CISSP, CISA, CRISC, etc...)
