Requires a Bachelor’s or Technology degree in Engineering or a related specialized area/field, or equivalent (4 years job-related experience). Requires an additional 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree with 6+ years of job-related experience. Must have experience as a Fire Control Technician (FT) operating AN/BYG-1.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities for this Position
Looking for a highly motivated, senior level Trusted Agent (20 years) to support development and delivery of security products for the US Navy. Must possess excellent verbal and written communications and be a fast learner. The ideal candidate will have a background supporting the cybersecurity efforts of US Navy Submarine Fleet. The position includes development of Assessment and Authorization (A&A) packages, development of the data package to support A&A’s, conducting posture transition events shipboard, as well as conducting command in/out briefings. While this position will mostly have regular business hours however overtime hours and travel will be required.Duties Responsibilities
- Provide support for directing and assisting security posture transition evolutions on East Coast platforms.
- Provides onboard training to ship’s force during Information Assurance (IA) posture transition evolutions.
- IA Security posture transition technical support during IA health checks, posture transitions, system restoration, and post-tests as required.
- Provide Trusted Agent Support during shipboard Assessment and Authorization events.
- Provide input and comments during reviews of Posture Transition Operations Manual and be able to support validation verification checks onboard platforms.
- Provide input and comments during reviews of draft and preliminary MIP/MRCs as needed.
- Develop and execute test procedures to be used in the lab as well as shipboard.
- Validate test procedures during testing events on hull as well as in the lab, often requiring shift work to complete.
- Develop operations and maintenance procedures for incorporation into technical manuals using engineering source documents.
- Develops training using MS Office Products to support cybersecurity operations and maintenance training.
- Applicant must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD TS/SCI Security Clearance.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix a plus.
- Familiarity with AN/BYG-1 and AN/BQQ-10, or AN/BLQ-10
- Must have strong organizational and analytical skills as well as practical problem-solving and decision making-skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure with little supervision and be able to manage multiple projects and issues simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Operation in an Information Technology Customer support capacity.
- Technical certifications are a plus (NET+, SECURITY+, CCNA, CISSP)
- High level of knowledge of Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
