Software Engineer in a distributed team with variety of strengths. Develop innovative software solutions to help secure applications that craft the future of LSEG!

Role summary:

We are the DevSecOps Engineering team who is in charge of uplifting security posture of LSEG's applications. We have a very diverge team dynamic, and we are looking for a dedicated individual to help us build the LSEG's Security Metrics Platform to the next level.

What you'll be doing:

• Develop and maintain a web application that built using Next.js and Postgres
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement user-friendly interfaces
• Develop ETL solutions and high performing APIs which must cope with the accelerating volume and speed of data
• Improve the current way of working and developer workflows to be more productive and efficient
• Participate in code reviews to receive and provide constructive feedback
• Collaborate with many partners or teams within LSEG to deliver customer centric features
• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies
• Write clean code and reusable components
• Write unit/integration/end-to-end tests

What you'll bring:

• Detailed understanding of HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Object Oriented Programming, Functional Programming and software design patterns
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs
• Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and partnership skills
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure or modern CI/CD systems such as GitLab, GitHub and Azure DevOps are a plus
