Position Summary

Why join our team?

ESBO (European Service Business) processes large quantities of Samsung’s first party data and third party data to provide consumers with Samsung services on Samsung mobiles and Samsung Smart TVs in Europe and MENA. The data is especially relevant to our advertising business, Samsung Ads - where Samsung data is its unique selling proposition.

Given the importance of consumers Samsung is a privacy-forward company. We are focused on making sure that our customers’ personal data is treated fairly. We are seeking a person that can help us maintain this privacy focus in Europe and MENA whilst considering and growing our global propositions.

You will work together with cross-function, cross-region teams, including the Europe Office Legal Team (“EOL”) and the Data Privacy Office (“DPO”), to support and facilitate best-industry standards and compliance with applicable laws relating to our data propositions. This role does not sit in the in-house Samsung legal team, but as a part of the business unit.

We are looking for a seasoned professional with strong background and experience in media, advertising and data privacy to join our team to support our data privacy program and lead key work streams to protect Samsung’s user data, the Samsung brand and our reputation. A strong ambitious nature with focus and a can do it attitude would be very valuable. The successful applicant will report into the Director of Privacy – Europe and will be based in central London. Some travel may be required.

  • Problem solver with excellent legal and business judgement and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation.

  • Good written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Calmness, enthusiasm, sense of humour, a can-do attitude and the willingness to pitch in when needed.
