As a Group Resilience and DR Partner, you will be supporting Flutter’s cyber security strategy and leading cross-divisional initiatives that enhance the Group’s overall resiliency and recovery capabilities. This position involves collaborating closely with all divisions and brands to identify, assess, and mitigate IT Resilience and Disaster Recovery risks while ensuring alignment with business objectives. Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills are essential for success in this role, which focuses on safeguarding Flutter’s systems and data through effective planning, risk management, and stakeholder alignment.

The role provides strategic direction and guidance to the cyber security team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. This role oversees the links between the Group Cyber Security and critical business functions.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

• Lead the IT Resilience and Disaster Recovery capability to establish relevant programs of work that help elevate the overall resiliency posture of Flutter.

• Develop and implement a comprehensive Global IT Resilience and Disaster Recovery strategy to safeguard Flutter’s critical IT assets and data against cyber threats and other disruptions.

• Lead projects involving cross-divisional teams, from various areas (including IT, Cybersecurity, Tech Compliance) to integrate IT Resilience and Disaster Recovery requirements within business processes.

• When needed, support divisions and brands on conducting relevant Disaster Recovery testing.

• Establish and maintain an IT Resilience and Disaster Recovery framework to ensure alignment with business objectives and ensure the various regulatory requirements across the Group are captured.

• Prepare presentations for senior management across the Group to obtain sponsorship for different programs of work involving IT Resilience and Disaster Recovery initiatives (Global Policy – Adoption, Gap Assessment, Remediations).

• Develop and maintain documentation, reports and metrics based on the policy gap assessment to track the effectiveness of the divisional/brand controls in place and communicate key findings and recommendations to senior leadership.

• Act as a main point of contact to ensure effective liaison, support and assistance between Group Cyber team and the remainder of organization (Risk, Insurance, Data Protection, Crisis Management, Business Continuity, Legal).

• Lead and participate in cross-divisional projects and initiatives to enhance Flutter’s IT resilience and recovery posture, such as developing relevant Disaster Recovery plans and scenarios, testing the plans, and proposing mitigations where necessary.

• Ensure critical systems are designed and maintained to meet high availability and failover requirements.

• When needed, work with relevant teams to build context relevant DR scenarios, while developing and executing disaster recovery testing plans to validate the effectiveness of recovery procedures.

• Partner with business units to understand critical processes and their IT dependencies.

• Drive enhancements in the overall resiliency within Flutter by building key artefacts (frameworks, policies, standards).

Skills & Capabilities

• Professional certification such as CompTIA Security+, SSCP, CISSP, GCIH or equivalent

• Project management knowledge that delivers high-quality work

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyse complex challenges

• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

• Qualifications & Experience

• Knowledge of industry standards such as NIST CSF, ISO27001, ISO 22301, ISO 27031 or PCI-DSS is highly desirable.

• Proven experience in working with resilience, business continuity, disaster recovery and/or crisis management

• Experience with drafting and agreeing policies and standards

• Ability to manage projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring Experience working within a similar role or team
