At Freddie Mac, you will do important work to build a better housing finance system and you’ll be part of a team helping to make homeownership and rental housing more accessible and affordable across the nation.

Position Overview:

This role will support Cyber Operations teams by building and maintaining automated playbooks and workflows in a SOAR platform. You will work with process owners to identify opportunities for automation and to develop, test, and implement those solutions.

Through automation and other SOAR functions like case management we provide a set of tools that allows our partner teams to function effectively and efficiently in a way that is scalable and repeatable.

Your Impact:

  • Administer and maintain the SOAR platform, ensuring it is functioning correctly, and all security automation workflows are up to date and effective

  • Collaborate with CSOC, CSIRT, CTI, DLP and Insider Threat teams to identify, design, and automate security workflows

  • Develop custom integrations between the SOAR platform and various security tools such as SIEM, IDS, EDR, vulnerability scanners, etc.

  • Work with other IT teams to ensure the SOAR platform is integrated with other IT systems

  • Document work performed and transfer knowledge to other team members

  • Participate in security incident response activities as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Cyber Security, or a related field/experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in a Cyber Security or Information Security capacity preferably supporting CSOC functions with exposure or experience with SOAR

  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python

  • Experience with working with top SOAR platforms (Swimlane, Splunk SOAR, Palo Alto XSOAR, etc.) a plus

  • Experience using, developing, or integrating with APIs (REST, SOAP)

  • Experience with security technologies such as SIEM, IDS, EDR, vulnerability scanners, etc.

  • Knowledge of network protocols and network security concepts

  • Ability to work indecently and collaboratively in a team environment

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $126,000 - $190,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
