GCyber is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer, to support a high profile DISA customer in their mission to improve collaboration and information sharing between defense and intelligence organizations. The Cybersecurity Engineer will perform cybersecurity authorization services, including ensuring systems are maintained per security policies and procedures and maintaining compliance.

As the Cybersecurity Engineer, you will:
 
  • Develop and implement cybersecurity methodologies, risk assessments, and monitoring capabilities to detect, prevent, and mitigate vulnerabilities, anomalous activities, and inefficiencies.
  • Analyze architectures, technologies, policies, and infrastructure, providing recommendations to enhance enterprise cybersecurity strategies, operational effectiveness, and compliance with security standards such as STIGs and JSIG Rev 4.
  • Support cybersecurity operations through collaboration, intrusion prevention, antivirus protection, network forensics integration, and real-time log monitoring to enhance situational awareness and threat response.
  • Conduct comprehensive analyses of enterprise cybersecurity defensive strategies, providing actionable insights and recommendations for senior leadership and operational teams.
  • Deliver and sustain secure system builds, image customizations, and configurations, ensuring systems and services meet risk management and compliance standards before production deployment.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
 
  • Active DoD Top Secret/SCI, with the ability to obtain and maintain a CI poly.
  • BS degree and 8-12 years of prior relevant experience.
  • 8570 IAT II certification (i.e., Security+, CCNA – Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCP)
  • Familiarity with all related aspects of cybersecurity operations, security architecture, and engineering.
  • In-depth knowledge of network and application protocols, cyber vulnerabilities and exploitation techniques and cyber threat/adversary methodologies.
  • In-depth experience with security domains and industry best practices; business continuity and disaster recovery, emerging technology.
