Job Responsibilities

  • Providing Technology Foundation Services, Data Center Services with the resources to design, plan, test, implement, and sustain an Enterprise COTS network micro-segmentation software application solution across physical and cloud environments.
  • Provide overall supervision for vendor employees to include, but not limited to, planning and managing the project professionally, ensuring that work is scheduled properly to obtain maximum use of resources; ensuring that accurate and timely reports are provided.
  • Has the authority to resolve problems, allocate resources, manage personnel, and monitor operation performance taking direction from the government to ensure complete satisfaction.
  • Works under general supervision, developing the requirements of a product from inception to conclusion.
  • Develops required specifications for simple to moderately complex problems.
  • Coordinates with the Vendor PM, PMO, and government user representatives to ensure accurate solutions and user satisfaction on technical matters.

Skills

  • Strong background in network troubleshooting, security policy formulation, and firewall configuration.
  • Working knowledge of host-based Firewall.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of industry standard network environments to include firewall and security hardware/software.
  • Working knowledge of Cybersecurity Best Practices.
  • Experience performing firewall software and hardware upgrade.
  • Experience building/configure new firewalls.
  • In depth knowledge of LAN and WAN operations and moderate knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Knowledge of industry standard Incident Ticket Tracking systems for inputting incident tickets and creating work orders.
  • Experience in processing and documenting trouble tickets from support teams and coordinating with technicians to resolve work order requests.
  • Working knowledge of the installation, configuration and day-to-day sustainment of host-based firewalls, to include but not limited to the management server and other product related items.
  • Expertise in managing firewall rule bases in compliance with Cyber Security requirements ensuring the hardening of networks, and aligning with Ports, Protocols, and Services Management (PPSM) standards.

Education & Certification Requirements

  • DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level II or IAT III (Sec+ CASP+, CISM, CISSP).
  • Computing Environment: A Firewall Certification such as Palo Alto, Check Point (CCSA, CCSE), Cisco, or similar.

Clearance Requirements

  • Minimum of a DOD Secret clearance is required to perform in this position.
