Job Role / Responsibilities
The Managed Data Security Team Lead will work within established methodologies to perform a variety of data security-related activities for a banking customer. The role involves leading a team of five individuals, ensuring effective management of tasks, and maintaining high standards of service delivery. A strong comprehension of data loss prevention (DLP) principles, including Forcepoint DLP product knowledge, is desirable for success in this role.
The Managed Data Security Team Lead is focused on:
- Key responsibilities:
- Serving as the primary technical resource in support of data security tasks and initiatives.
- Leading a team of five members with growth potential, ensuring collaboration and delivery of services.
- Performing DLP rule review, creation, changes, and investigations to ensure compliance with security standards.
- Monitoring and ensuring timely reporting and preparation of informative management reports.
- Delivering tasks without SLA breaches while maintaining high-quality outcomes.
- Preparing and delivering detailed reporting presentations for internal and customer stakeholders.
The role also involves contributing to the strategic improvement of data security processes and fostering a culture of proactive risk management within the team.

- Escalation management: Escalate issues to upper management, including C-Level executives, in accordance with prescribed procedures when required.
- DLP expertise: Familiarity with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) tools and processes, especially Forcepoint DLP product knowledge, is highly desirable.
- Rule management: Experience in DLP rule review, creation, modification, and analysis.
- Incident handling and investigation: Proficiency in investigating potential data breaches or suspicious activities related to data security.
- Team leadership: Proven experience leading a small team, providing guidance, mentoring, and ensuring effective collaboration.
- Strong reporting skills: Ability to create, review, and present detailed and informative reports to both internal and customer stakeholders.
- Process adherence: Commitment to delivering tasks within SLAs and improving efficiency by adhering to established processes.
- Risk management mindset: Understanding of PCI, PII, GDPR, DSS, ISO 27001, and ISO 20000 frameworks and their application in data security.
- Collaboration: Capability to work with cross-functional teams that may challenge processes and procedures while maintaining a focus on positive outcomes.
- Proactive approach: Experience in identifying areas for improvement in DLP and data security processes, with a logical and analytical mindset for developing reusable processes and data architectures.
Certifications/Qualifications
Preferred Certifications (not mandatory but beneficial):
- Varonis certifications related to data security and monitoring.
- Forcepoint DLP certifications or extensive experience with Forcepoint DLP tools.
Additional Certifications (not mandatory but beneficial):
- Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE).
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
- Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
- ITIL Foundation certification for process management.
