We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Security Technical Program Manager to join our security team at Microsoft. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that Microsoft’s new sovereign cloud buildouts are built securely and efficiently. This position requires a deep understanding of networking, Active Directory, and Entra, along with the ability to drive security enhancements effectively.

Responsibilities
- Secure Buildouts: Oversee the security aspects of new sovereign cloud buildouts, ensuring that they meet Microsoft's high standards for security and compliance.
- Vulnerability Management: Identify and respond to new vulnerabilities by driving security enhancements and implementing necessary measures to mitigate risks.
- Partners with the engineering team to contribute, prioritize, and deliver on the roadmap for multiple feature areas (e.g., product, service). Understands the value proposition for the multiple feature areas and answers technical questions on the multiple feature areas they own.
- Audit and Compliance: Ensure that cloud buildouts adhere to regulatory requirements and internal security policies through regular audits and compliance checks.
Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
- OR equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
- Strong understanding of networking and infrastructure principles.
- Proficiency in Active Directory and Entra/AAD.
Additional or preferred qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.
- 1+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).
- 6+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
- 5 years of experience in security program management or a related role.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or PMP are a plus.
Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
