Responsibilities
Our client is seeking an ATO Security Specialist to lead efforts related to the Authority to Operate (ATO) process and documentation. This role involves coordinating with key stakeholders, conducting in-depth analyses, and ensuring that all security documentation aligns with organizational and regulatory requirements. The position demands a professional with strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills to navigate complex security requirements effectively.
- Guide the IRS ATO process, including the preparation of comprehensive ATO documentation
- Conduct analysis of legacy BMF documentation to identify components suitable for reuse in BMF Mod
- Develop and submit accurate ATO documentation for Release 2, ensuring all materials are reviewed, approved, and signed by appropriate security partners
- Maintain and update the IMS system weekly to reflect the current status of the ATO process
- Collaborate with the ISSO, clients, and vendor/teaming partners to create and submit Security Change Management Requests while tracking their progress
Requirements
- Proven experience navigating and managing ATO processes in a government or regulatory environment
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate legacy documentation and determine its reusability
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage and update ATO-related information consistently
- Experience coordinating with diverse stakeholders, including ISSOs, clients, and vendors, to ensure compliance with security requirements
- Familiarity with security change management processes and related documentation practices
- Strong technical understanding of Information Security frameworks and best practices
- Ability to work effectively in collaborative and dynamic team environments

- Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; an active IRS MBI clearance is required. Please be aware that onboarding can take 4-6 weeks for this position.
