Overview

Edgewater Federal Solutions is currently seeking a Facility Security Administrator.  As a Facility Security Administrator is an integral part of the facility security team. This role will assist the Facility Security Officer and AFSO in document and data management control and for performing and facilitating administrative security support functions. They will ensure that FCI and CUI data is accurate, consistent and reliable. They will perform data quality audits, validations, and corrections to identify and resolve any data errors, anomalies, or inconsistencies. They will also implement data security measures, such as encryption, authentication, and authorization, to protect data from unauthorized access, modification, or disclosure and will monitor and enforce data access policies and data governance policies and procedures, such as data ownership, classification, retention, and disposal, to comply with legal and ethical requirements and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the resume review for security red flags, and proper reporting
  • Maintain security records, and reports
  • Perform random entry/exit inspections
  • Participate in the security self-assessment initiatives
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of security regulations and best practices, including 32 CFR 117 NISPOM, Intelligence Community Directives (ICD’s), DOE O 470.4b chg. 3, CUI program initiatives, and other governing directives, as applicable
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned

Qualifications

  • US Citizen
  • Must be eligible to obtain or have a Personnel Security Clearance at appropriate level
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience
  • Must have completed or be able to complete the CDSE's required FSO training within 120 days of employment
  • Experience working in a government contractor environment, protection requirements for handling Personally Identifiable Information (PII), Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), and Federal Contracting Information (FCI)
  • Work experience with DCSA databases including DISS, NBIS, NISS, SWFT
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees, management, and customers on all levels.
  • Experience in SIMS software and MS Office Suite

Salary :  $66,000  - $80,000

  • May require more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position
  • Fine hand manipulation (keyboarding).
