About the role

Join Partner Solutions (PSI) team as a Security Advisor Senior – Cyber Defense, where you will drive the integration, optimization, and management of advanced cybersecurity solutions to protect critical systems and mitigate emerging threats.  

What you'll do here:

• Assess the organization's security needs and implement measures to protect its systems effectively. 

• Develop and maintain detailed cybersecurity designs to strengthen defenses against emerging threats.

• Manage and optimize the operation of cybersecurity platforms, ensuring they function efficiently and reliably. 

• Configure, maintain, and integrate new system environments into the SIEM, emphasizing the development and deployment of policies and detection content to enhance threat detection and response capabilities. 

• Implement and oversee advanced detection technologies to proactively identify and mitigate security threats. 

• Configure and monitor cloud security infrastructure to ensure the protection of cloud-based assets. 

• Actively participate in incident response activities, providing timely detection and remediation of security incidents within the SOC. 

• Ensure all security measures and processes are well-documented, facilitating clarity and ease of use for the team. 

What you bring to the table:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or other relevant credentials in cybersecurity. 

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Information Technology and/or Security. 

• Understanding of cloud security principles and practices, including the configuration and monitoring of cloud infrastructure.  

• Demonstrated experience with cloud service providers such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud is essential. 

• Knowledge of endpoint protection and monitoring technologies, including antivirus, antimalware, and endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions. Experience with tools like Microsoft Defender and CrowdStrike is highly valuable. 

• Proficiency in deploying, configuring, and maintaining SIEM systems to enhance threat detection and response capabilities.  

• Understanding of MDM solutions to secure and manage mobile devices within the organization. 

• Strong knowledge of IAM principles, including multi-factor authentication (MFA), single sign-on (SSO), and role-based access control (RBAC). Familiarity with identity management solutions is crucial.

• Basic understanding of network security principles, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and web application firewalls (WAF). 

• Possession of a recognized certification such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC, GSEC, CEH, CCSP is an asset. 

• Positive attitude, team spirit, and willingness to learn. 

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.   

• For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country. 

• No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
