About the role

Are you passionate about cybersecurity and eager to make a significant impact in a new and dynamic environment? Join Partner Solutions (PSI) team as a Security Advisor Specialist – Cloud Security & Architecture. As a security advisor specializing in cloud security and architecture, you will focus on securing the organization’s cloud environments and designing resilient systems. Your primary responsibility will be to strengthen the defense posture of cloud-based assets and ensure a robust security architecture across various platforms. 

What you'll do here:

  • Ensure the security and compliance of cloud architectures, including multi-cloud and hybrid environments, aligning with industry standards and best practices. 

  • Provide expert guidance to Cloud Services teams on implementing robust security measures and practices. 

  • Partner with internal teams to optimize and integrate Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems, ensuring secure, least-privilege access across cloud environments to minimize risk and enhance compliance. 

  • Conduct and support risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and deliver actionable recommendations to improve the organization's cloud security posture. 

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive guidelines for secure cloud deployment and configuration management, minimizing misconfigurations and ensuring adherence to security policies. 

  • Facilitate and support cloud-specific penetration testing efforts, evaluating the security of cloud-native applications and addressing potential threats. 

  • Monitor emerging cloud security threats and recommend proactive strategies to safeguard the organization's cloud infrastructure. 

  • Provide hands-on operational support for deploying and configuring platform content, ensuring efficient and secure cloud operations. 

 

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field. 

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in Information Technology and/or Cybersecurity, including at least 3 years of hands-on expertise in cloud security or architecture roles. Expertise in designing, implementing, and securing cloud environments, particularly in multi-cloud and hybrid architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP). 

  • Proficient with cloud security tools and practices, including Identity and Access Management (IAM), cloud firewalls, encryption, and network security. 

  • Familiarity with cloud-native applications, cloud security posture management (CSPM), and cloud access security broker (CASB) solutions. 

  • Preferred certifications: AWS Certified Security Specialty, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer, or similar. 

  • Strong experience in conducting cloud security risk assessments, vulnerability management, and providing actionable recommendations. 

  • Experience with cloud-specific penetration testing and threat detection, and familiarity with the latest cloud security vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies. 

  • Solid understanding of cloud security frameworks, policies, and compliance standards such as NIST, CIS, and GDPR. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail in identifying and resolving security issues in cloud environments. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders across the organization. 

  • Ability to create and maintain detailed, clear documentation for cloud security configurations, policies, and processes.  

  • Ability to define and document standards, conventions, processes and procedures.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. 

  • A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences, developing, diverse stakeholders. 

  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country. 

  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
