The Cybersecurity Compliance Lead Consultant will be part of the BISO organization and be responsible to develop cyber risk reporting material for the BISOs to leverage across Truist for awareness and risk reduction. This role will manage multiple, concurrent projects, activities, and tasks under time constraints. The Cybersecurity Compliance Lead Consultant will drive effective communication and awareness of risk posture in partnership with the BISO teams to identify, assess and manage cybersecurity risk.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Manage deliverables for the team against expected results. Makes judgments about priorities and the team's approach to work based on an understanding of how the team contributes to the achievement of broader objectives.

2. Develop cyber risk reporting material for the BISOs to leverage across Truist for awareness and risk reduction.

3. Manage multiple, concurrent projects, activities, and tasks under time constraints.

4. Promote security awareness across the BISO team by educating employees on best practices.

5. Partner with BISO Teams to understand their reporting objectives and ensure that appropriate metrics support these goals. Collaborate with security teams to ensure that effective metrics are developed to support risk reduction.

6. Ability to leverage advanced technical skills with Excel / data manipulation including:

  • Advanced knowledge of formulas and functions
  • Proficiency in pivot tables and pivot charts
  • Charting and visualization techniques
  • Ability to automate tasks using macros.
  • Data modeling and dashboard creation

7. Ability to leverage advanced technical skills with PowerPoint including:

Mastery of slide design, templates and layouts

Creation of professional and executive level design / messaging

Ability to convey complex information in a clear and visually appealing manner.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

1. Bachelor’s degree preferably in regulatory affairs, business, organizational or compliance law, or financial services

2. Ten years related experience at a large financial institution performing legal, compliance, or other duties such as risk management and/or project management

3. Ability to lead projects of moderate complexity and notable risk exposure.

4. Strong knowledge on cybersecurity risks, frameworks, best practices and industry/regulatory requirements. Knowledge and experience in use of cyber security governance programs.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Master’s degree or MBA and 8 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience

2. Experience interacting with financial services regulatory bodies; preferably Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Federal Reserve Board (FRB), FDIC, etc. (laws, rules, regulations and guidance)

3. Cybersecurity certifications such as CISA, CISSP

4. Regulatory Change Management experience

Able to work all hours scheduled, including overtime as directed by manager/supervisor and required by business need.
