Responsibilities
What will you be doing?
As a senior member of the team, you will work closely with the Architecture team, the Security Engineering team and DevOps teams to play a key role in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of sensitive data across an evolving environment. Your responsibilities include:
- Designing, implementing and maintaining a comprehensive data protection strategy that aligns with Zero Trust principles.
- Developing and implementing data protection policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Working in conjunction with enterprise architects, product owners and other stakeholders to ensure that data protection is integrated into the design of new applications, processes and technologies. This includes designing access controls for protecting sensitive information, thereby preventing unauthorized access to data.
- Providing expert advice on data handling best practices, including data classification, data loss prevention and incident response.
- Designing and developing Data Loss Prevention solutions and drive the creation of prototypes and proofs of concept.
Qualifications
Must have:
- Bachelor degree in computer science or information security and/or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in IT security
- Understanding of Zero Trust principles
- Knowledge of data security best practices
- Familiarity with data loss prevention solutions
- Open-minded, enthusiastic, solutions oriented, and a true team player – gaining energy through collaboration with others.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbally.
Nice to have:
- Experience of working in environments involving Agile development
- Understanding of data privacy laws like GDPR
