KPMG Unit KGS ITS Position Senior Executive Reporting to Manager Location Bangalore No. of Positions 1 Context Seeking an individual who has expertise and hands-on experience with Qualys Vulnerability management tool and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, including configuration, scanning, reporting and remediation Job Description The responsibilities of the role: • Responsible for safeguarding the organization's IT infrastructure by identifying, analyzing, and mitigating security vulnerabilities. • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments to identify security weaknesses in IT systems, networks, and applications. • Use tools like Qualys and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE) for vulnerability scanning, asset discovery, and remediation planning. • Analyze and prioritize vulnerabilities based on their risk and potential impact on the organization. • Develop and execute comprehensive remediation plans in collaboration with IT and security teams. • Continuously monitor systems for emerging vulnerabilities and manage risks to ensure timely resolution. • Participate in incident response activities related to vulnerabilities and security breaches. • Conduct root cause analysis for exploited vulnerabilities and recommend preventive measures. • Generate regular reports and metrics on vulnerabilities, remediation efforts, and security risks. • Collaborate closely with IT and security teams to address vulnerabilities and align on best practices. Stay updated with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices. • Create and maintain dashboards to present the status of vulnerabilities, remediation efforts, and risk levels. • Good team player • Excellent communication skills Candidate key skills and experience • 5 years of experience in information security, particularly in vulnerability management and risk assessment • Hands-on experience with Qualys and MDE, including configuration, scanning, and reporting • Proven experience working closely with IT, development, and security teams to address vulnerabilities and align on best practices• Experience in managing security-related projects, including organizing resources and establishing priorities • Strong analytical skills to assess and prioritize vulnerabilities effectively • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with various teams and present findings and recommendations clearly • Ability to develop innovative solutions to mitigate security risks and improve the organization's security posture • Keen attention to detail to identify and address security weaknesses accurately • Powershell scripting and Power BI reporting will be added advantage
