Gritter Francona is seeking an IT Security Programmer to provide comprehensive server administration, software development, and cybersecurity services. This role involves the administration, maintenance, and support of IT infrastructure, development of software applications, and ensuring the security of all systems in compliance with military standards and regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

Server Administration, Maintenance, and Support

  • Administer, maintain, and manage Government-provided computer systems.
  • Report security incidents and execute corrective security procedures as per AFMAN 17-1303 and TO 00-33A-1001.
  • Perform hardware and software maintenance, including preventive maintenance and coordination for IT equipment upgrades.
  • Manage procurement, installation, and updates of software in coordination with the Software License Manager (SLM).
  • Appoint certified personnel to install software and security updates on contractor-controlled computers.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and administer network equipment following commercial manuals, DoD standards, and good practices.
  • Maintain and operate server systems, including virtual and physical servers, web/database servers, and other related systems in compliance with AFI 17-1301 and AFMAN 17-1203.

Software Development and Support

  • Develop and maintain specific 57 MXG software applications, including MOCTrax, MXG Web, and others.
  • Perform detailed software development tasks such as functional/technical requirements documentation, code development, testing, and integration using CMMI and ISO standards.
  • Ensure adherence to security and risk management policies for software, particularly in the development of new applications.
  • Utilize a range of programming tools, including HTML5, CSS3, Angular JS, SQL, C#, and Visual Basic within the Microsoft.NET framework.

Cybersecurity Support

  • Provide Cybersecurity support in line with DoD 8570.01-M and AFMAN 17-1303, including managing compliance with all cybersecurity workforce (CSWF) certifications and reporting.
  • Appoint and oversee qualified personnel in cybersecurity roles, ensuring certifications are in place prior to starting contract work.
  • Support and implement the Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes for securing IT systems.
  • Develop and maintain a security plan addressing various cybersecurity domains such as COMPUSEC, COMSEC, and OPSEC, ensuring all systems meet necessary security requirements.
  • Serve as the designated Information System Security Manager (ISSM) and Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to manage the cybersecurity program for the organization.
  • Collaborate with the ISSM and ISSO to assess and implement RMF controls, security audits, and scans to maintain security posture for the assigned IT systems.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and experience in server administration, network troubleshooting, and IT system support in a military or government setting.
  • Expertise in software development using modern web technologies and frameworks, including but not limited to HTML, CSS, JavaScript, C#, Visual Basic, and SQL.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity standards, particularly those related to DoD and AF security regulations.
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
