About our team
Cyber Engagement and Delivery section within Cyber Risk Services branch provides communication and awareness, and education and training products and campaigns for the Department. These services are a critical function to prevent cyber security incidents and enable Home Affairs employees to make informed decisions about their behaviour in this interconnected cyber environment. The section also provides holistic cyber security reporting in order to support evidence based and intelligence informed decision making at strategic, operational and tactical levels.
The Cyber Communications and Awareness team's role is to increase organisational cyber security awareness to protect the department through the culture piece of the Cyber Security Resilience Strategy and Roadmap. This is achieved through raising awareness about cyber security issues and events across the department through proactive and reactive communications pieces, and informative presentations to groups and individuals across the department.

Duties and responsibilities
- Drafting informative and accurate communications piece discussing cyber security topics.
- Assisting in all communication campaigns and strategy development. This includes assisting in the delivery and implementation of associated activities and content curation for channels such as the website, direct email communication, social media, consultation and events
- Working with graphic designers internal and external to the team for branch branding.
- Assisting with curating material supporting online events and sponsorships, education programs and campaigns
- Undertake content author responsibilities, including management of image library and stock photography

Eligibility
To be eligible for the position you must be an Australian Citizen.
The successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (AGSVA) security clearance, and:
- ABF Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC).
- Home Affairs Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Onboarding Check.
In certain circumstances, an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC) may be required in addition to, or in lieu of, an Onboarding Check, which will be determined by the delegate as necessary.
