Purpose

This role oversees the risk management for ensuring that information technology (IT) systems and/or solutions meet their cybersecurity and risk requirements.

Key Missions

Develops, implements and manages an effective compliance program

Oversees the compliance of stakeholder-defined security requirements and the implementation policies, procedures, and practices to protect the organization's mission and business processes

Conducts comprehensive assessments of the management, operational, and technical security controls employed by an information technology (IT) system to determine their overall effectiveness

Conducts assessments of threats and vulnerabilities and assess the level of risk

Develops and recommends appropriate mitigation countermeasures in operational and nonoperational situations

Ensures the mitigation plan is properly deployed and implemented

Communicates updates on cyber risk activities to the stakeholders

Understands and follows standards and processes

Conducts simple assessments and explains technical analysis

Leads compliance programs on a limited scope
